വടക്ക് ദിശ മാറി തെക്കു ആന്ധ്ര പ്രദേശ് തീരത്തിന് സമാന്തരമായി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു തെക്കൻ ആന്ധ്രാ പ്രദേശ് തീരത്തു നെല്ലൂരിനും മച്ചലിപട്ടണത്തിനും ഇടയിൽ ഡിസംബർ 5 നു രാവിലെ തീവ്ര ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റായി മണിക്കൂറിൽ പരമാവധി 110 കിലോമീറ്റർ വരെ വേഗതയിൽ കരയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കാൻ സാധ്യത എന്ന് കേന്ദ്ര കാലാവസ്ഥ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിക്കുന്നു.

The Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” (pronounced as MIGJAUM) over Westcentral & adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu coasts moved northwestwards with a speed of 8 kmph during past 06 hours, intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm and lay centered at 0830 hours IST of 4th December, 2023 over the same region near Latitude 13.3°N and Longitude 81.0°E, about 90 km east-northeast of Chennai, 170 km southeast of Nellore, 200 km northeast of Puducherry, 300 km south-southeast of Bapatla and 320 km south of Machilipatnam.
It is likely to intensify gradually and move nearly northwards almost parallel and close to south Andhra Pradesh coast and cross South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam, close to Bapatla during forenoon of 5th December as a Severe Cyclonic Storm with a maximum sustained wind speed of 90-100 kmph gusting to 110 kmph.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm activity at isolated places very likely over Kerala & Mahe during next 5 days.
